Completing the frameset installation

Once the framesets have been put in place, they need to be secured. Additionally, we have decided to provide some additional batons on the frameset to ensure stability and to help support the HBA tile that will be placed on top of it.

Fitting extra batons to support the HBA tile.

Attaching frameset to the anchor lines.

The attachment is made with an O-ring and S-hook, shown in the next image. They connect from a screw in the frameset (top right) to the black nylon loop from the anchor (lower centre-right).

Once these additional actions have been taken, the HBA tile can be placed on the frameset. The frameset system is essential for our site, in order to cope with the snow drifts. It also sets us apart from other LOFAR stations... while most LOFAR stations look the same, there'll be no mistaking KAIRA!
