Gliders over SGO

Between Tähtelä, where SGO is, and Sodankylä, there is a small aerodrome. Unfortunately, it doesn't run commercial flights (Sodankylä-Oxford would be useful), but it does serve as the base for the Aslak Arctic Rescue Helicopter service and also for small private air operations.

A couple of days ago, we had some such take-off , which flew down along the road not far from the observatory. It was a glider with tow-plane ahead. A bit difficult to see in this photograph, but it was an interesting sight as it flew past the trees.
