In October/November, there will be a major KAIRA campaign involving SGO, University of Southampton (Soton), Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) and the Netherlands Foundation for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON). The objective is to carry out a main riometry measurement campaign, execute a pulsar-polarisation experiment and support some EISCAT VHF time. During this time we also aim to carry out some outstanding calibration measurements that hitherto remain undone and complete remaining installation work.
Yesterday, KAIRA observer-in-charge Derek McKay-Bukowski drove up to KAIRA a few days ahead of time, as he needs to carry out the Rb-clock distributor board upgrade prior to the campaign.
