We had a fall of snow that didn't go away and the temperature dropped below 0 degrees celsius and has not made it back into the positive temperatures since. Furthermore, on the morning of the first heavy snows, there was a dramatic scene with firery dawn light churning between the sombre mountains and turbulent clouds.
