Snow cleared

The first step for the site works is to get the snow removed. This was done by local contractors yesterday. As a result, this is what the site looked like when we first arrived.

If you look carefully (click on the image for an enlargement), you can see that the area around the test tiles has not been cleared. Because of the inspection work and testing that we want to do, we do not wish this area to be disturbed just yet.

However, the rest of the area where the High-Band Array (HBA) will be located has been cleared.

With the highly-reflective snow removed, local heating on the dark rock surface will quickly melt any small amounts that have been left behind.
