Cables

These photographs show the cables along the trays. The first is where a bundle of cables emerges from one of the sloping feeder ducts. This is raised up higher than the tray itself because at the other end, we need to gain access to the entry to the tunnel.

The 'I' marks that this is cable route 'I' (the series goes from 'A' to 'L'). Half of the bundle of cables continues to the left where it enters the next row. However the other half branches up into the 'V' tray which runs along the row. The 'H30' marks that this is the entry point for the cables into antenna location number 30.

At the time this photograph was taken, only part of the row had been cabled and H30 itself remained to be done. When complete, the bundles will be secured and the black duct pipe pushed back down to cover the tunnel entrance. At that point, the raised cables will lie flat in the tray.

The second photograph is the view looking along one of the 'U' trays.

Each 'U' tray, when complete, will carry a total of 24 cables, connecting 12 tile antennas.
